This summer I was lucky enough to spend some time at the beautiful Villa Joglovina in the North of Bali. Being extensively featured in in the prestigious Conde Nast travel magazine, this home is a true work of art. I’ve never seen a place built with so much love and attention to detail. It is a super classy villa all made out of natural materials and honoring the Balinese architecture and ornaments. It is truly one of the most impressive places I have ever stayed in.
Lovina is located in North Bali, about 2,5 hours drive from Ubud through the mountains. The drive itself is very worthwhile, as the road runs past some beautiful areas in Bali, which are not so well known to tourists. Best is to drive with a local driver or guide, as they know the scenic routes.
When coming down the wooden steps leading to the property, one can not help but be in complete awe of the incredible architecture of the place. The combined living and dining area oozes warmth and beauty due to the abundant use of wood and Balinese ornaments. The open kitchen invites for cooking family meals and spending time together at home.
Looking out of the kitchen and dining area one finds a stunning infinity pool and a breathtaking view of Lovina beach in the distance. It is such a peaceful and enchanting place to be in, I would probably hardly ever leave the house if I lived here.
Joglovina is for rent and can be contacted through their social media pages: https://www.facebook.com/VillaJoglovina and Instagram @Joglovina
