Hello beauties,
I went on a trip to the Amalfi Coast last month and it took my breath away. Honestly it’s one of the most stunning areas of Europe.
We stayed in a very quiet area right on the beach in Nerano, a small town on the Sorrento coast, and purposely decided not to stay in the main tourist towns of Positano and Amalfi. However, we did visit those on several occasions so I’ll tell you all about it.
Believe it or not, but we decided to stay on a camping in a pretty basic bungalow right in the middle of nature. Living in Dubai I feel so overloaded with luxury most of the time, I really need my nature fix, so we stayed at Villagio Nettuno, in our own little bungalow with all the necessary comfort. We did rent a car to be able to get around easily and visit all the neighboring towns.
In our 5 days we did a lot and drove around quite a bit to visit the places in the area. However, it was a bit rainy so we missed going to Capri, which I really hope to do sometime in the future. So here are my recommended places to visit, and my favorite Amalfi Coast looks.
Day 1 – Sorrento
We visited Sorrento by taking a drive along the coast. Sorrento is great for shopping, but it’s quite a commercial town and not as pittoresque as for instance Positano. I do recommend a visit here, particularly for the scenic drive. One of the highlights on the road is Hotel Belair Sorrento with the most breathtaking view and gorgeous terrace for coffee. Definitely worth a visit.
For this day visit I was wearing jeans, sneakers and a pink blazer jacket because it was pretty cold. I wanted to be able to walk around all day, because we were there for most of the afternoon and evening, so sneakers were a must. Shop these items in the side bar.
Day 2 – Positano
Positano is a must visit. Super touristic but so charming. I could have spent all of our trip her. I didn’t like it so much for shopping, but loved it for strolling around, having coffee on cute terraces and the dinners we had here were awesome (even though quite overpriced). It is difficult to park in Positano and costs a fortune, so keep that in mind. When you visit, make sure to book your dinner table at Chez Black restaurant. Best atmosphere ever!
For this day I wore the cutest two piece Italian inspired set with platform heels. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day to wear this.
Day 3 – Close to Home, Nerano
On this rainy day we stayed close to home in Nerano. We went for a beautiful walk on the beach, strolled through the tiny little village and ate at the local restaurant. For this day I was wearing a silky skirt with a white blouse.

Day 4 – Beach Time
We spent the last day of our trip on the beautiful rocky beach of Marina del Cantone. Apparently people come from all over the Amalfi Coast to visit this place as it’s the cleanest and most beautiful beach in the area. During our trip we only had 1 day of sun hahahah. So when the first sun rays came out, we planted ourselves on this place and didn’t leave all day. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurants around the place. I personally recommend eating Spaghetti A la Nerano in one of the beach restaurants. Honestly one of the best dished I had in my life.
Recommended restaurant on Marina del Cantone beach is Maria Grazia Restaurant. Gorgeous views and the food is simply amazing.
For this day I was wearing this adorable red one-piece from Billabong.
