One thing all beauty experts agree on is how crucial the shape of your eyebrows is, as they frame the eyes and the face. I personally believe eyebrows can make or break your look, they enhance your features and bring it all together. I have naturally thin eyebrows, and there are a lot of great products out there to create the perfect eyebrows for your facial features. But, let’s be real. Nobody has the time for that every morning, and none the less, most of us don’t have the talent for it. On a good day, I could maybe make my eyebrows look like cousins, definitely not sisters!
And that’s why when my girl Sep comes to the rescue with her natural looking eyebrow tattoo, she just made life so much easier. Here you are guys, this is all you need to know before getting into semi-permanent makeup.
Feather eyebrow tattoo
Application
The artist uses a hand-held tool with a very fine blade (similar to a tattoo machine) and goes over the desired area. The machine has a lower frequency so the pigmentation stays closer to the surface.
Pain/Anaesthesia
The process is not painful. Anaesthetic is continually applied during the procedure to numb the area and decrease any pain or discomfort. Some would say the sensation feels like an electric toothbrush pressed against the skin; a little uncomfortable but not too painful.
Recovery
This is the most important step, as you need to take good care of the area.
Your skin will need 5 – 7 days to recover, during recovery avoid makeup and keep the area dry. Avoid swimming, sauna, steam room, intense workouts, and avoid using any products on the area. Check with the specialist if you can use any moisturizer in case you need to. Keeping the area dry as much as possible will help the skin to heal, and it will help the pigment to settle.
Permanence
Feather brow eye tattoos generally last 1-3 years. However, results will vary depending on the client’s exposure to the sun and the skin’s resistance to the pigment.
Powder Effect Brows / Misted Technique (New)
Powder effect brows is a treatment that implants pigment in the eyebrow area to create the look of defined eyebrows. This technique involves implanting pigment in a series of tiny dots throughout the eyebrow area. Powder effect brows are ideal for enhancing your natural colour or shape, as they help define what is already there. This method of eyebrow tattooing is the most long-lasting, as the pigment gets implanted more deeply into the skin. If longevity is important to you when choosing a cosmetic tattoo, powder effect brows could be the right choice for you!
Application
The application itself for powder effect brows isn’t very invasive, as it only involves taking a soft powdery colour and using it to “fill in” the brows with pigment. This technique is long-lasting, as it injects the pigment into the skin. The colours are natural looking, making for elegantly graceful arches. Anaesthetic is applied to make you as comfortable as possible, allowing for a less painful procedure.
Retouches
The powder effect technique requires less maintenance than other eyebrow tattoos. However, some clients prefer to add feathering tattoo on top of it. It will extend longevity and give them a more defined look. It’s an option that some clients go for. Eye powder can be great alone to enhance your natural eyebrows.
Sep will be in Dubai in the end of February. We are still waiting to receive the exact dates. To reserve a spot and be informed of her visits, email her on [email protected]
