Hi everyone!!
It’s been a while, simply due to the lack of time I have to write actual articles here. But I am grateful for every single one of you that reads my posts, even though I am not very active on here.
So, big news!!! I won the Middle East Woman Leader Award for Female Leadership last week, which has been quite an exciting and unexpected event. To be frank, I have never been focused on winning awards, and as much as I enjoy working, I didn’t plan for the business success I am currently experiencing. Yes, I had the intention to be successful, but I really let destiny take it’s course and allowed the Universe to guide me to what I was meant to be doing.
Building my Yoga school was a fully organic process with little ambition, aside from wanting to reach more people with something I knew would help them. I also have always been a dreamer and someone who believes in less effort more money more freedom. This means that I don’t believe that in order to be comfortable and abundant, we would have to trade all our hours for dollars. I have always aimed to develop a business that gives me financial abundance, freedom in time and an ability to contribute. Satisfaction has always been a number one value to me, as I have a hard time doing things that don’t give me joy. I’ve always worked from my heart and followed my bliss, as Joseph Campbell said.
Lately a lot of people have been encouraging me to share more about how I have managed to build such a successful brand all on my own. The reality is that I have had to make a lot of mistakes and overcome many difficulties in order to have an established 6-figure business. I was shocked to learn that I belong to the top 5% earners in the world. I am still shocked to learn that so many people will never reach their financial goals, that 80% of startups fail, and that many people will work their whole life in a job they hate. This has simply never been an option for me. I would rather be dead 😀
I believe the following factors have been very important in creating my success:
- I go with my gut feeling and follow my bliss
What does this mean? I don’t do things that don’t feel good. I do things that make me happy. I do things that make other people happy. I don’t do things that harm the world. I don’t do things that go against what I believe in. I stay true to myself and ask for guidance from my higher self all the time. I ask for messages, for the right people to be brought into my life, and for things to work out in the best possible way for me and others. I run my business ethically and authentically, I don’t enslave people in low salary jobs and I try to be fair with whatever I do.
- I believe in what I do and I wait till things happen
Sometimes you just really have to keep the faith and wait till good things happen. For me this took quite a few years to happen. But I waited. I didn’t give up. I never stopped believing in the fact that one day I would have the success, love, finances, house, friendships etc that I wanted. Moving to a new country and starting a whole new life from scratch without money and friends has been one of the most difficult things I have ever done. There were many moments I really wanted to leave and back out of my plan. But somehow I didn’t. And now I am enjoying the fact that I pushed through. Don’t give up too quickly. Good things take a bit of time.
- I don’t compete and don’t believe in lack
There is no competition and there’s enough for everyone. It’s really as simple as that. Try to adopt this mindset. Support your fellows. And know what is yours will come to you.
- I don’t spend money I don’t have, I save a LOT and I invest back into my business consistently
Well, that says it all!!!! The first thing I did when I made a decent amount of money: I bought a house. I saved up for it. I have never borrowed one dollar in my life for a car or house or anything. I make money and then spend it. I invest into my business consistently and I save at least 50% of my income. That means I don’t spend money on crap that gives me only temporary satisfaction. I rent out a room in my house to save on rent. I don’t spend fortunes on fancy restaurants, I cook at home, I drive a normal economical car. Basically I keep it simple. I don’t travel business class. I just act normal and always think about whether I actually need something. At the same time I also enjoy life’s pleasures, I do indulge, spend on travel and healthy food but always in a conscious way, knowing it will contribute to my life. I see things as an investment. I travel with a purpose, I eat to keep my body healthy. It’s just a way of looking at spending.
- I work like hell and sacrifice instant pleasure for long term results
Yes I don’t fuck around basically. You won’t see me wasting time on instant pleasure much. I just work. Work like hell baby, in the gym, for your business, for yourself! That night of clubbing or partying won’t give you what you’re looking for. That boyfriend won’t give you financial guarantees. Prioritize yourself, and work work work!
There are so many other things I could write about here but let’s keep it short and simple for now. I will hopefully be creating some video content soon on business success. Please let me know if you would be interested in that in the comment section.
